2 way pull cord garage light

Hi
I have the above in my garage. One pull cord at the main door and one at the back door. The problem is, whatever one you pull to switch the light on is the one you have to pull to turn it off again. i.e. I cant go in the back door, turn on the light, then turn it off as I go out the front door. Anyone any ideas, or any wiring diagrams? This has been like this since I moved in but never got round to sorting it till now.

Or, post photos of the wiring at both switches and we can advise further,,.

1) see if there are real 2 way switches (i.e have 3 terminals not 2)
2) See if there is adquate wiring between the switches to make them work as 2 way.
