8ft block wall for shed storing compressed gass, best procedure

    or under the blast separate into fast moving blocks that might cause more damage than a sold wall that falls over as one piece.

    You may wish to have a weak roof so it will give way first to reduce confined pressure, make of lightweight panels that will minimise damage and injury when they come down.

    The roof will be light weight along with the rest of the building to give way. The wall is just to give extra protection to the store behind it which is also being another wall.

    The blocks we have been given the green light for as fine to use as they generally will fall as one as long as it is strong and built correctly. The other option is poured concrete with a steel mesh frame but will be overkill for this application as the damage would not warrant such a measure in place. It would deflagorate more so.

    deflagrate I mean, burns away quickly but does not go bang.
     
  7. I still think you should get someone with demonstrable expertise to answer all these questions by desiging the wall and saying "build this", rather than canvassing opinions from bunch of unaccountable strangers...
