Are there any problems with having cast iron and plastic gutters and downpipes in one system. And what problems are associated with hoppers?

Cast iron rots eventually.....and doesn`t join well to plastic(gutter) Hoppers collect leaves.

Plastic gutter into cast iron downpipes are fine, otherwise just get it all done in plastic.
