A simple radio control motor

Hi,

I want to radio control an electric motor connected to a 12 volt battery.
[as yet, I have bought none of the components]

So, to do this cheaply;
I could buy a £5 radio control car, and take apart.
What I need to know is how do I adapt this circuitary that already made to running a small 1.5v motor, to a large 12 volt one.

Is it easy?
Any replies much appreciated.

From what you've siad the simplest way would be to use the servos and receiver/transmitter from the car to control a switch which would supply power to the moto. Would require two seperate power supplies some 1.5 v for the servos and 12v for the motor
