My central heating was installed in 1986. The radiators (except one in the hall) all have Myson old style CLIP ON TRV' heads. Good for 1986 but now very outdated. I want to replace my TRV heads with modern Drayton Wiser smart heads (30mm screw thread) as well as replacing with a Wiser controller. I found an adaptor for clip on TRV's but it was too small. does anybody know where to buy other sizes of clip on adaptors? The current heads have a round wire clip (similar to a circlip but this is round rather than flat) which tightens the plastic round opening at the bottom.
It would allow me to do the update myself without replacing the valve as well as the head. To replace the valve as well as the head will double the price and massively increase the time..
