can anyone help with the following problem.
the vent/expansion pipe is pulling air into my system, every time the CH pump starts up, water is forced back up the cold feed into the expansion tank?
this has being made worse by the new CH pump head fitted by british gas under there central heating care scheme which i now have to run on its lowest setting to avoid sucking to much air into the system but i end up with very little hot water in the cylinder, if i turn the pump up to no 3 i get the hot water as it was before but i have to bleed the primary rad every day as its half full of air??
ant thoughts.
PS british gas say the cold feed and expansion pipes are incorrectly possitioned and want £280 to sort it out. is this right??
thanks.
