Another Jaguar boiler problem

Hi

I've not long moved into a new place which is fitted with a Jaguar boiler (I know they're not very good, but can't afford to get it replaced!).

In the last few days I've had the latest in a line of problems. Basically the pilot light is ignighting then stops again. Then comes on again. Then goes out etc. Consequently I have no hot water. Any ideas?

Oddly enough, it seemed to work last night, but only after the timer switched off. I'm coi'msed.

Okay, I never claimed to know the first thing about boilers! In which case, the flames you can see through the little window come on for about 2 seconds, then go off again and on again as described. Any ideas?

What's the APS and where would I find it?

usually near the fan
