My four year old Ariston Margharita fills up with water seams to sense something then empties and spins the dial to report a fault. It will empty and spin OK but not wash or rinse. I have a manual but has not helped.

There should be a light flashing when the dial rotates. If there is, count the flashes between pauses and post the result here. Someone will get back to you with the meaning of the error code (number of flashes).
