I have a kitchen cooker hood which is n't working. It looks similar to this.

The air is vented externally. The hole is directly behind the unit, so you don't see any exterior pipes.

However, the replacement model from CDA, Ikea and various other companies have changed the design. The extractor hole goes up. So you need pipework, plus you will be able to see the pipework. So I need to box it, unless I buy a seperate chimney box :(

I then need to fill the existing hole in the brick wall, and then dig another hole slightly higher up.

Why did they change the design?

Is there a solution!?

Thank you for suggesting ElectriQ. It has been on order however, my order got bounced to November 2020. Now received a message to say bounced to February 2021.

Is there an alternative supplier, who make rear vented extractors?
