bathroom light help

Folks, I have just put a new light in the bathroom but didnt mark what wires went where ( Its been a long day )

There are 2 wires. 1 comes from the light switch, The other from the bedroom light ( i think ). The wires are old and have red, black and earth. How do i find out which wire is live?

put a red(live) and black(neutral) from the same cable into the light terminals,if it comes on when you put the power back on you have the feed cable,make sure the other cable is in connectors or insulated when you do this

Cancel the above, I found the wire from the switch and it works,

Connect the two reds together, this is your loop-in live.
The black coming from the previous light fitting is your Neutral and the black coming from the switch is your Live (sleeve this up so its identified as a live conductor).
