re-written due to waffle.I did not get any replies from the last post. I think due to it being complete waffle so I'll try again. I have a Baumatic oven/hob combo. I now realise that the oven plugs straight into the mains so I'll concentrate on the hob. I have a new 'cooker' switch that I want to use but I need to relocate it. The current switch is a monster half way up the wall and will be directly above the new hob and in the line of fire of steam/new hood/exploding eggs. Now that there are new regulations on kitchen wiring, is this something I can do myself or does it need a qualification? The new switch will use existing wiring just moved a foot or so down and a few inches across so that it wont be in the firing line of exploding eggs and I'll have room for the cooker hood. Thanks Cripster. Oh and is the cable from said switch supposed to link directly to the hob or do i need a junction box? The current cable comes from the switch through the plaster straight into the oven.
