hello all, got a bit of a problem and i was wondering if anyone can help . boiler is a baxi 80e combi . heating ok and hot water downstairs is ok . great flow on hot water to all taps , the problem is when running a bath the tap has to be turned down to almost minimum to get any decent temperature on the water . as i said b4 all downstairs taps produce nice hot water at a good flow rate , this problem has just appeared about a month ago and the system has been in about 3 years .
thanks in advance

This problem is often caused because the flow rate expected is more than the boiler can give at this time of year.

Its only 24 kW and can deliver about 8 litres per minute.

Measure the flow rate in the bath when set so that you can only just keep you hand under the tap for about 10 seconds.

If its about 8 li/min then thats all the boiler can give.

If its much less then there is a problem and the boiler may need attention.

The boiler does not know where the water is going so will operate the same regardless of which tap is open as long as both flow rates are the same.
