belling idw604 no water from bottom washer

hi my belling idw604 has stopped spraying water from the bottom spinner jet .had an engineer out to it and he said the best thing to do is get a new one (dishwasher that is )but this one is only 3 years old .and I'm not prepared to give up yet . there are no error codes coming up
any ideas
