Looking to scribe some acoustic wall panels and PIR boards to get as flush a finish as possible to some not so straight walls over the coming weeks. What scribe tools would you recommend? I have the Tracer pencils (which I get on with), but their scribe tool seems *very* plasticky. The Trend EasyScribe seems to be reasonable, but would certainly be interested in people's real world experiences (and happy to pay a little more for something of decent quality!)

Use an M6 / M8 / M8 / M12 washer dependant on the widest gap you have and run it down the wall with your pencil against the inner rim and it will do the same thing as the 40 quid tracer scribe.

Carpenter - 33 years - I bought a Tracer Scribing Tool about 2 months ago, it is rubbish, it flexes to much.

Your best bet is a compass that is very stiff to open and close.

Or, just measure the biggest gap on your wonky wall and cut a scrap bit of wood to that size and use as a scribe tool with a sharp pencil.
