Best shower system to use with a non modulating combi boiler

I have an eletric shower at present but would like to go to a thermostatic shower valve.
what problems will i encounter by using one of these on an older non modulating combi boiler.
Or will I have to just replace my electric shower, which I would prefer not to do.

Generally a non thermostatic shower will work very well as long as the flow rate is at least 8-10 li/min.
