Blass Balustrade clamps

Been badly let down by a tradesman

Paid a deposit for 10mm toughened glass balustrade, the guy fitted end clamps & central post and never returned.

So I have 4 clamps per piece of glass .... I can measure exact size between clamps, anybody know what tolerance I should allow .... for example on Double-glazed glazed units they often allow 3mm all round.
