Hi guys

I' have had some Danish undefloor heating fitted and they left the connection into the RCD to me.

The instruction book has live as red and blue as neutral as you'd expect, however, the actual wires are blue and black!

Can someone tell me which is live - blue or black?

cheers

Darren

I wouldn't expect that for one second, since Denmark has been a member of the EU for over 30 years. Mind you, if this country is anything to go by, things move very slowly in electrical harmonisation circles....

It probably doesn't matter, but you should check with the manufacturer.

by european harmonised codes black is a live color

but i still think you should speak to the manufacturere about it

My understanding is that the phase conductor of a single phase circuit should be brown, not black.

yes its best in brown but a lot of europen countries do allow either

(also a lot of european countrys don't have a problem with swapping live and neutral at will but that is another issue)

Then it's not CENELEC harmonised, is it...

Not much of an issue if eveything is DP switched...
