bmw 320i 2001 front window glass rattles-partially opened.

hi all,
my driver side window rattles when partially opened. if window is all the way down or all the way up, its completely quite in the car.

however if i open the window about half way of three quarters up, it starts this annoying rattle. worse when i go on rough road.

i opened the door panel today and couldnt see anything obvious.

anyone had this problem before and if so how did you fix it. any ideas on fixing this will be greatly appreciated.

this is very annoying and i can clearly hear the glass rattling. car is 4 door saloon.

I have had the same thing on a Citroen XM, its either a worn window channel or part of the guide has come away from the door.

thanks Peter. it looks like i gonna have to take the door apart again. will have another look.
