boiler noise again

posted atopic other day regarding a vibrating noise from boiler had a new fan fitted 2 weeks ago and since the boiler has ben making a loud vibrating noise only now and again,had bg out they said it were the casing vibrating nothing u can do about it,only when he took the casing off it still made the noise but only slightly and now we have 2 pipes that run down the side of the boiler but they do touch the casing and they run into the kitchen and t hey have started to make a vibrating noise when the boiler is heating up, could this be vibration of the casing answers appreciated many thanx

its a gloworm compact 80 combi sorry i didnt mention what it was
 
This is a common problem and its really very difficult to do much about the case mechanically resonating.

Often pushing or thumping the case will lessen the noise.

One would have thought the manufacturers would do more to lessen the difficulty. The problem is that it starts at the wall mounting. If its on a solid brick wall then there is rarely any difficulty!

What kind of wall is yours mounted on ???

thanks for reply house is about 18 year old and the wallsare all plaster boarded
