Hi all. Another building question! Whats the best way to bridge existing underground drainage pipes that are running through my footings trench?
Thanks all!!

if the pipe is above the concrete, stop the brickwork either side of the pipe and bridge the pipe using concrete lintels.

if the pipe runs through the concrete you have two options:

stop the concrete either side of the pipe using 18mm ply shuttering and timber props, and lintel over using concrete lintels.

wrap the pipe in compressible material such as glasswooll insulation and fill around the pipe as normal with the foundation concrete.

the first option does allow you to work on the pipe run should you need to after the concrete has set.
