Fitted low voltage lights - 6x50watts lights operated by one switch. Each fitting has its own transformer. After a few weeks random bulbs "blow". One or out of the six fitted.

Has anyone experienced this problem? Dodgy transformer or rubbish bulbs?

Your post is a bit unclear, you do not say how many weeks or how long they are on. Halogen lamps usually have a quoted life expectancy in hours of use, if they have not met this then you are entitled to refund/replacement & they are not a cheap item. The old saying about getting what you pay for is especially true of lamps. Doubt it is the transformers.

Philips 50Watts. Cant remember the model. Bought from BDC. They are not on all the time. Domestic use so only ON in the evening and they last up to 6 weeks.

What are the trannies rated at?

Can you accurately measure your voltage?
