buying a mitre saw

hi folks
any advice on buying an electric compound mitre saw. I did buy one from b&q but after it blew all the fuses in my garage I took it back. With the same thing happening to the second one I got my circiut checked and it was ok. On closer inspection of the product I came to the conclsion that my purchases had already been returned and refurbished and i was not very happy. I only want to fit a 3" dado but its doing my head in.

I recently bought a dw712 from here
I'm using it at the moment & it was worth every penny.
