A few months into a major project to convert what was a cafe into a home we are now re-siting the kitchen.

With limited spare wall space in the new kitchen I wondered if anyone had any novel ideas for heating the room. We currently have an oil fired boiler and a number of radiators in the building.

We have looked at underfloor heating, but the kitchen has timber floors and I don't think we can raise the floor enough. Besides which it's pretty expensive. We have space for one small radiator however this is at the far end of the room (and house) and would mean running pipes behind all the kitchen units.

Any ideas gratefully received!

If you have a timber floor then it may be possible to get below into the crawl space below or do you have a cellar that you could access the floor from ? Other than that you can now get all kinds of modern radiator styles such as tall thin ones and even the chromed bathroom heated towel rail types may suit the kitchen.

use a kick space heater which plumbs into the central heating and fits under the cabinets. i think myson do one
