hi

one of the 45cm square tiles in the kitchen has been cracked. I have a spare but obviously need to get it up (wahey) first. What's the best/easiest way to do this. Should I drill around the edge of the tiles to come up - so as not smash the neighbours - and then just go at it slowly with a hammer and chisel? Aim to get a nice level concrete base and then put some cement down, then the tile?

Any other ideas/products? Like cover it in tape to stop the drill/chisel slipping?

The best way is to attack the duff tile from the middle. Don't even think of drilling the grout from the edges of the tile as you'll chip the tiles next to it.

Hello madge1

have you a replacement tile that matches ?
then you remove duff tile inward /outward , an re-mud /adhesive space then pop in new tile an grout ..
hope this helps :) :)
