Changing 2 lights one switch to 2 lights two switches

Hi All,

In the main bedroom i have 2 pendent lights running off one switch, how hard would it be to change the wiring and replace the light switch to a double so i can control the lights independently, ie one light off one switch?

Obviously it may be hard running a new wire down to the light switch, but how do you arrange the wiring?

you only need a single extra wire, so double insulated single brown would work..

you link the permanent live from the one switch to the other, then use your new wire to take the switched live to the second light..

replace the switched live that is linked from the first light with the new one..
