The new switch is different from the old one and now haven't got a clue where to put wires. New switch has 2 x com ports, and 2 L1 and 2 L2 ports. There are two grey sheathed cables both which have two red wires in each and then there is a red wire which i am assuming is the live? Where do the 4 red cables go?

More info please.

What is marked on the rear of the old switch??

What do the two switches control??

Can either of the switches also be operated from a second or third position??

Are you saying ALL conductors are red??

Can't be that different - they all need the same number of terminals, and all connect COM to either L1 or L2

and now haven't got a clue where to put wires.
Did you not make a note of what went where on the old switch before removing it?
