Hi,
I'm thinking about changing the lighting in my toilet, it currently has 1 ceiling light, but I'm thing of getting 2 LED down lights instead, my question is what wattage? 9w or 12w? The room is approx 1.8 meters by 0.8 meters.

Thanks
Dan

Thanks for the quick reply.

The lights I've been looking at have a 60 degree angle, is that normal or wide?

Is there any rough guide in the trade to decide how many lights and what watt bulbs to use in certain size rooms?

Thanks
Dan

In a toilet you really need difused light with out shadows around the critical aiming point.

A lamp that spreads light onto walls as well as downwards means the light reflected from the walls creates a diffused lighting throughout the room.

Toilets (like kitchens) need functional task relateing lighting and not mood lighting. Down lighters are not designed as task lighting.
