Chimney breast removal

Im wanting to have the chimney breast removed in my terraced house leaving just the stack in the attic.
We will have an rsj fitted in the room below the attic between 2 load bearing walls, on one side however it would have to be fitted over a door frame is this acceptable?

if you mean will the door frame take the weight no
if you mean the door frame will have a beam sailing across but not touching then ok

there are other options like gallows brackets and corbelling lintel above the door if enough bearing area

In short no, how ever you could throw a steel over top of door fame and sit on this. You would need cleat or bolts to join together.
