Cleaning up adhesive after installing porcelain floor tiles

Evenin!

Just relaxing after a hard days hallyway and kitchen tiling. Im a newbie so im 90% pleased with the job so far. Concrete floor and 30x60 slate look porcelain (with slight sheen) from Topps. All fastened down with Bal rapid set adhesive.

My handy work got a bit messy from time to time and ended up with bits of adhesive on the top of the tiles. After laying them in position I wiped them down with a wet cloth to remove the adhesive. Now its all dried and the top of the tiles are a light grey with a streaky wiped effect.

Some of this is residue from the adhesive as its grey. What is the best way of cleaning tiles, they look great when wet but as they dry they loose the sheen they had in the box.

Whats the tip to clean tiles!?

cheers

Start with hottish water and a scotch pad. Use something with a plastic edge to get up any lumps. If any stains remain, use a cement film remover. This can be bought from most tiling outlet. Test an area first though. Porcelain is tough as old boots and should be quite resisitant to a bit of elbow grease, but still check first to cover your harris.
