What is the best method of checking and inflating pressure vessels in respect of combi boilers? What is the ideal pressure Bar/psi?
Personally I use a manual car tyre foot pump with a guage incorporated. I over inflate to something like 1.5 bar then using what I hope is a more accurate standalone guage set the pressure to around 1 bar - around the same pressure as the boiler pressure. I accept around a half bar increase in boiler pressure when the boiler is at max temp around 80 c.
All tools designed for the auto trade!!
