As long as whatever you choose states it is suitable for combi or mains pressure use, the choice is yours.
On the few very occasions that I fit a shower when installing a combi, I always use the Mira Excell.
Never had no problems or call backs to date and you get a 5 year warranty on the thermostatic cartridge.
