Hello

I just wanted to ask, i have been asked to install a feed from the CU to a fridge unit in a shop, now the shop has a flat above it and the flat is supplied by a different phase and meter. do i have to certify this ciruit part p?

thank you

Its not a notifiable job because its not a dwelling and is not fed from the same supply as a dwelling (providing they are both DNO meters with separate mpan numbers, etc)

many thanks mate. plus would you fill out a full elec certificate or can i use a minor works for one circuit?

If its a new circuit, then an EIC should be completed

PS.just to correct myself, the reason its not notifiable is because it doesn't fall under part p at all, however conventional regulations, EAWA, etc, still require it to be done safely, ehich is best met by compliance with BS7671, etc

Hi Adam
many many thanks for giving me a decent simple answer, thats much appreciated, it will definately be installed in compliance to BS7671 and a EIC will be filled out as its a new circuit

cheers mate

Boo
