Hi all,

A few months ago (last winter) I tried to fix one of our two store heaters and it looks as if I made the wrong connection as in the next bill we got about 5000 stored heat units in about three months when normally we got about 1000 in the same period. Now can someone clarify to me how the three tarifs work ( I am in "Super Deal") and i got :
Day energy
Night energy
Stored heat energy

Now I was under the impresion that our stored heaters get the electricity supply during the night under "night energy" but I guess I am wrong...

Can you post a picture of the incoming electricity area - the meter and all connected boxes, including fuse boxes, showing the interconnecting wires. Also a picture of the heater in question.

Do you know what triggers the heaters to charge? An internal timer? Or a teleswitch?

Is going to be a bit complicated to take the pictures as all cables and boxes are behind a unit covering the whole wall with tv, books etc but I will try. What I know is that I checked that the store heater (one of those with ceramic bricks) got connected to the low rate grid for which I waited until midnight to check with the tester that it was charging. At least this is what I was told to do. Now, I have three different tarifs and as we moved to the house recently and the bill has never been an issue I did not researched very deeply into the bill info but now I am unable to understand the "stored heat" tarif".
Thanks
