Hope someone can help with this quick question.
Am going to put power to a garage about 3m from my house. Had a conservatory built and had 2.5mm armoured cable put in the foundations to run to the garage (Haven't buried it in the ground yet, not connected anything)
At the garage I want a light and 1 or 2 double sockets ( 1 to run a fridge maybe another a freezer (both small) inside and an outide socket., for lawnmower etc.

Will this cable be ok? Or will I have to bite the bullet and face laying 4mm cable to the garage (meaning 10m of outside wiring)

Cheers

this has been mentioned "just a few" times before, try asearcch on poweing outside building, power to gargage

I know it's been asked before, but I just want a quick confirmation from anyone with more knowledge than me that it's ok.
The carpet's going down next week, so after that the missus won't be very happy if I ask to take up the carpet to lay some more cable under the floorboards.

Hell hath no fury as a woman with a spoilt carpet!

it always pays to lay the largest cable you can afford, and can install. 2.5mm might be big enough for now, but what about the future?

I'm in a similar position and am laying 16mm cable, although that is a bit extreme, and i got the cable for free.
