I am wanting to fit a cooker hood in a bungalow which will need to be vented through the attic.

I have heard that it may be possible to vent it via special-purpose ridge tiles. Is this correct and are they generally available or only from specialist suppliers?

Is this the best /easiest way to achieve this? The other alternatives I am aware of would be through the roof tiles themselves (sounds difficult) or through the soffit.

See this. Available from any roofing merchant.

You can vent out to soffit vent or thru' the roof tiles with the correct flashing kit.

Thanks Masona. These are exactly what are already fitted to vent the roof space "naturally". Presumably I can just get the ducting kit/adaptor and connect it up?
