I am aware of notifiable works & Part P etc but a question i have is can an electric single oven (seperate from the HOB) be plugged straight into a ring main socket.

Depends. How many KW does this oven use?
ok, what would be the max power consumtion to allow it to be plugged into the ring main, 3kw ish???
I thought/ have been told that the oven i have bought could just plug into the ring main but a lot of sites i`ve read on net seem to show it connected into a seperate feed. I`m kind of assuming it is below 3Kw but will have to check tomorrow.
