Can anyone tell me what problems are associated with doing this?

i have a cut/pitch 1930s semi with contemporary garage. I did the garage myself but the lowest course of tiles (sand-faced rosemaries throughout on single layer of felt) dropped and i found it impossible to lift them back.
it hasnt caused any trouble but i didnt want this happening on the house itself so agreed with a upvc fitter that he could just cover the timber fascia and soffit.

Have i made a mortal error?

If so what remedial work is appropriate?

I am prepared to have the roof off, if necessary.

All advice much appreciated...cheers...

If the fascia and soffit are in good condition ,there should not be any problems
