Cracked wall/pointing advice please!!

    The price depends on a number of things like what part of the country you live and how deep they need to dig, but you would expect prices to start at a few grand.
     
  2. You really need a couple of quotes for the work Brian, and then you want to pretty much double that for a price reduction, as you never get away with what the builder initially suggests. It's one thing to charge top price for a property you can walk into and open a bottle, but a doer upper requires a more realistic price.

    You've got to decide whether you like the property enough to take on the project.

    Looks exactly like my friends house in Chandlers Ford (S. Hampshire). It needed underpinning some 20 years ago, which was covered by their house insurance.
