My downstairs window was replaced about 5 year ago now. underneath it a crack has appeared running for about 50 cm down toward the ground. The crack runs through the middle of some bricks and mortar lines. Any ideas of whats wrong or advice would be helpful?

This crack is unlikely to be connected to the window replacement.

Is it on the inside as well, is it the same width all the way down, and how wide is it?

Have you any drains nearby, and is the window near a corner?

The crack is mm's wide. It runs centrally from the window for about 50cm directly down to the floor. it starts by halving a brick then runs along the joint below, then brick, then joint and so on.
Will try and get a picture on a soon as possible.
Hard to tell whether theres a crack inside because theres a radiator in that position. The window is on the corner of the house and a drain is on that corner taking water away from the front of the roof.
