Hi, I have a ctec fire alarm panel, none of the leds are lit up.
There's a light on the power supply inside. The call point button lights up when it's pressed.
It's 5 years old.
I'm wondering if the alarm is powered directly from the batteries and that could cause this?

Or is there anything else that could have gone?

The model on the circuit board is cfp 704-2 when I google this it seems they do both a conventional one and a 2 wire one. How would I know which one I have?

Thanks

Have you checked for 240v mains supply ? We have a fair few of these panels out there and don’t have any issues at all with them , but I have heard there has been some issues with the power supply’s … where abouts are you based ?

No I haven't but could try replacing the power supply

Make sure the psu is plugged in fully ….its on a RJ45 type connector from the psu to the board ..

Thanks mate, I checked that today but still no luck,I'm thinking the best will be to replace the panel, from looking at the zone cables I think it's a conventional one, not a 2 wire system?

Thanks so much mate, what's puzzling me is that it seems like it musnt be getting power, but the call point lights up when pressed.

Are you sure there isn’t a short on one of the zones ? Have you tried removing one leg on each zone …take out all the brown wires and down/ re power see what happens …

Hi mate, I tried that, still no sign of life!
I also fitted 2 new batteries but still nothing.
Does that indicate anything?
