Hi again all...

I've got a new cylinder and cylinder stat, but don't know where to put the stat - as the cylinder is covered in foam and is really effectively insulated. Is it simply a case of cutting a bit of foam away avec stanley knife, so the stat can make contact with the tank?

Cheers
Rab

Yes, but see other thread for position.

Wicked cheers Chris ;)

I already know where it should go - I've done this before on a uninsulated cylindiner.

Thanks again.

Just make sure cyl. surface is clean where stat makes contact, and keep hole in insulation only just big enough for stat.
