My Edwardian semi had a render skirt, which was falling apart. As part of some other works, I decided to remove the render as it was in such a state. This was started on the right side of the front door and the bricks were in pretty good nick. However, on the other side, they are in a bit of a state; different colours, damaged and not in great shape.
In order to make this look good again, I seem to have a couple of options
1. re-render in the same area that it was previously done. I am not keen to do this, as I don't think it looks good having such a high render skirt.
2. Repair the damage. I am tempted to have the bricks ground down and apply the closest matching brick slips. Alternatively, could the bricks be removed individually and replaced? Turning them around isn't really going to work given the different colours.
I'd welcome any advice or guidance on what would be the optimal solution!
