Damp

Have bought an old tenament flat. A perfect circle of damp has appeared on a bottom inside wall in the recess next to the back door. The room was originally the kitchen.

I am guessing it was a vent or a pipe?

How will I deal with this?

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Why not post pics showing the damp patch and the other side of the wall where the pipe or vent might have continued to?
I'd suggest you keep your posts on one subject on one forum.
