Decoration over felt tips

We have just done a play called "Stags and Hens" it is set in the Ladies and Gents Loo in run down club so the wall which are plywood sheets (Stage flats) we emulsion in Matt pink and magnolia and used non permanent felt tis to graffiti the walls however we had to re paint certain area every night to re graffiti but find it difficult if not impossible to fully obliterate the felt tip pens even painting thickly three four times

Not the play has finished what tips for totally oblitorating the surface and starting again so we no longer see the felt tip markings

Paint over the graffiti areas with an oil base white under coat that should do the job then when it dry slap on the emulsion
