Hi all,

We have this washer dryer and on a small to medium load it is trying to spin (from the start of the cycle) but just can not turn the thing over. I thought the belt was slipping so I took the back off to see whilst it was going and its not, it just vibrates where the motor does not have enough power.

I would like to know, is the motor the type with or without brushes? There seems to be about 7 wires going to it which to me suggests its brushless.

Secondly, does anyone know what motor it uses? I can not seem to find any valuable info on the web.

Thirdly, should we just buy a new machine?

Cheers
Jack

This machine has a brushless induction motor. Two possibilities for your problem, either the capacitor or the circuit board.
