Direct Drive washing machines

The latest generation of direct drive washing machines produced by LG.
From the write up seems good idea, reduce noise, vibration etc.

What I would value is comments from others who have purchased one, and our esteemed experts on the new concept, indeed if its new.

I am going for the LG WM-14220FD

I've got the WM-14225FD and so far it's been absolutely super.

Big drum, very very quiet, very simple to use.
Washing is noticably cleaner and drier than before too.
I've only heard one spin cycle that had a vibration/noise, but to be fair to the machine her indoors had overloaded it badly.
It has error coded out once on spin cycle because of the load being unbalanced (overloaded again )
Took a couple of things out and it was fine.

Just out of curiosity I have placed a 50 pence on edge, on top of the machine, after a full cycle it was still there, on it's edge

So far so good
