As soon as we turn on the dishwasher , water comes pouring out of the aireator on the top of the sink. What must I do to correct this? Thank you

When you say "aerator on top of the sink" are you referring to the sink overflow?. If so, I think the problem is that your waste pipe is partly blocked, and when the dishwasher starts, it first pumps out any standing water in the pipes.
