Any of yous been there? we got two little grand kids one's 5yrs the other 2yrs and was considering taking them late in the year (October/November) How long do we need to spend there? etc any advice, your experiences gratefully received.

I went to light water valley with the the kids ( 3 ) all under 6 years of age, and only had time to go halfway round the place then it was time to go home. I've never been to D/W so not sure how big it is, so if it's any bigger then 2 days I would say.
ps some of the rides the kids were to short
so I had to go on them myself

I have been to Disney in Florida (yes i know you said Paris) but overall, although very good, I think that you would be wasting your money as the 2 year old will not appreciate it.
Basicaly they are very glorified theme parks (well i suppose it really is a theme park)
Also as Markie said they wil probably too short to go on the rides, Yes Disney has other things (the parade was very good, and i met Tiger*) but overall i would suggest you wait untill they are old enough to appreciate it.
If you want to tkae them somewhere I would suggest Alton Towers, it has a dedicated small persons area (quite big for small people) and lots of general rides for small people (the swans were good)
* I felt sorry for the smaller kids wanting to meet winnie the pooh (you had to que to meet them and they were ferried around in an open top bus and only stayed in one place for about 10 minutes regardless of if they had "spoken" to all those waiting

Yep, and I can pat my own ass and think of the £'s i've saved
I took my son(4 years old) to Disney World Paris back in January, we stayed for 3 days in one of the Disney hotels a short walk away.
The resort itself was great, my only moan was the cost of food, it was a complete and utter rip off( six pounds for a pre packed sandwich) and left us very short on money for much else.
The only cheap ish place to eat was McDonalds in the Disney village just outside the gates.

3 days was enough as we didn't feel we had to rush to see everything and by the end of the third day we'd had enough!
I did notice signs that said that picnicing wasn't allowed within the park!!.
There's a shop in the train station there that sells snacks/drinks ect which seems reasonably priced.
Just make sure you wrap up warm and wear comfy shoes!

Rather than do 3 consecutive days, we spread them over the second week of the holiday - and this worked well, providing a break from the full-on experience (it's forced down your neck as soon as you walk through the gates). Keep your wallet under lock and key, otherwise it'll empty within a few hours of arriving.
We got hold of ride maps before arriving, and decided which areas we'd do on each of the days. If you stay for the parades (well worth it), it can be a LONG day for everyone.
I'd certainly take the kids again.
