Hi

We have a very large bedroom that we would like to divide into two. This bedroom has two identical windows and two radiators below the windows.

We need to do this so both our boys can have a room of their own. We cannot afford to move at the moment.

We wanted to have a stud wall with a door cutting the room in half. However, you would need to walk through one room to get to the other. Alternatively, we could build a small corridor.

Do we need building regulations for this? We would also need to do some electrics.

Thanks

Jen

probably not for the alterations, provided its a lightweight stud wall, but you will need part "p" regs for the electrics and most likely a smoke alarm.
