does a bare floorboarded room need prep for kitchen fit?

I need to know if my bare floorboards in my kitchen need to be prepared in some way before fitting the kitchen and fitting a linolium cushion floor as I am worried about floorboard lines showing through?

if so what order do I fit any preperation for the cushion floor over the complete floor before the kitchen is fitted or just the space of the floor afterwards?
